TROY SOCCER / TRACK COMPLEX

The Jesse H. Colley Soccer / Track Complex was opened in 2003 and includes an eight-lane Athletic Polymer Systems Tartan surface on the 400-meter track, as well as four long jump/triple jump pits, men's and women's pole vault facilities and high jump pits, an inside steeplechase water jump, a triple-ring throwing area for the discus, shot put and hammer throw, and an olympic-caliber cage around the discus and hemmer throw facilities.

The facility is also capable of hosting sprints in either direction and has a dual javelin approach.

The addition of the new facility has enable Troy University to host several events that range from the Coach O Invitational, to the Special Olympics, to the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) State Championships, to the US Junior National State Championships.

The Jesse H. Colley Soccer / Track Complex, which surrounds Troy's NCAA regulation soccer field, cost approximately $1 million to build.

The facility was renovated in 2005 to feature a press box that is used for both soccer and track events. The press box is located above a grand stand that seats 500 people. The soccer pitch consists of Bermuda grass and measures 115 yards by 75 yards with World Cup style goals.  Also added in 2006 were soccer offices and locker rooms, to go along with concession stands and restrooms. The soccer locker room features a team lounge, that includes a state-of-the-art video and sound system.

DIRECTIONS FROM BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA: Take I-65 South towards Montgomery. Take I-85 North towards Atlanta. Take exit #9 Taylor Road. Turn right on Taylor Road, continue until it ends at Hwy 231. Turn Left onto Hwy 231 South towards Troy. Turn Left onto George Wallace Drive (next to Sonic Drive-In). Go to the Second Light, Turn Left onto Campus.

DIRECTIONS FROM DOTHAN, ALABAMA: Take US-231 North. Once into Troy, turn right onto George Wallace Drive (next to Sonic Drive-In). Go to the Second Light, Turn Left onto Campus.

DIRECTIONS FROM ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Take I-85 South towards Montgomery. Once in Montgomery, take the Taylor Road exit (No. 9). Turn left towards US-231. Continue straight until Taylor Road dead ends into US-231. Turn left onto US-231 South towards Troy. When you reach Troy, turn left onto George Wallace Drive (next to Sonic Drive-In). Go to the Second Light, Turn Left onto Campus.

DIRECTIONS FROM MOBILE, ALABAMA: Take I-65 North towards Montgomery. Take the AL 10 exit at Greenville/Pine Apple (No. 128). Turn right onto AL 10 and follow it until it ends at US 331. Turn right onto US 331 and follow it until it intersects with US 29. Take US 29 North towards Troy until it intersects with US 231. Turn right onto US 231 and follow it until it intersects with George Wallace Drive and turn left. (next to Sonic Drive-In). Go to the Second Light, Turn Left onto Campus.
